About The Position

Join Freedom 7 Management LLC / HD Physical Medicine as a Kinesiologist/Physical Therapist Assistant in Victorville, CA, where you'll play a vital role in helping patients achieve their mobility and wellness goals. The Kinesiologist / Exercise Science Specialist plays a key role in delivering doctor-prescribed therapeutic exercise programs. This position focuses on movement coaching, exercise mechanics, and patient engagement under the supervision of our providers.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or related field with 1 year experience in the related field /or/
  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Movement, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of kinesiology, anatomy, biomechanics, functional movement and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be professional & dependable.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a passion for helping others.
  • Comfort working hands-on with patients with the ability to clearly explain and demonstrate exercises through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bilingual
  • Experience in a rehab, chiropractic, PT, sports medicine, or fitness setting
  • Personal training or exercise instruction background
  • Experience working with injury-based or post-accident patients

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans through doctor prescribed exercise programs.
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patient mobility and strength.
  • Demonstrate and cue proper exercise form, posture, and movement mechanics.
  • Educate & monitor patient tolerance, effort, and progress during sessions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations including: exercise completion, reps, sets, and patient response.
  • Support doctors by preparing patients and maintaining efficient treatment flow.
  • Assist with basic modalities and therapy equipment (per training).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional rehab environment.
  • Communicate clearly with providers regarding patient updates on performance and/or concerns.
  • Provide compassionate support and motivation to patients during their recovery.
