About The Position

Incumbent is directly responsible for each student they are assigned, to meet the schools goals and objectives for their assigned grade level and/or courses. The Teacher is also responsible for helping students meet both cognitive and affective objectives and may be assigned extra duties as needed on an individual basis.

Requirements

Requires a current valid WA State Teaching Certificate for Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Must obtain a First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
Requires a valid WA State Drivers' license.
Requires proof of degree/transcripts, certifications, and THREE written letters of reference along with application.
Requires demonstrated knowledge and skill to effectively instruct children.
Requires social skills necessary to effectively communicate with staff, students, parents, and the public.
Requires skill and dedication necessary to participate in the development of a constantly improving program.
Requires current knowledge in any given subject area.
Requires current knowledge and use of appropriate instructional theory.
Requires ability to develop and implement curriculum.
Requires ability to maintain classroom control.
Requires ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to create daily lesson plans.
Ability to develop immediate and long range goals.
