About The Position

What Your Experience Looks like as a Primrose Teacher: Curriculum provided - With clear daily plans, necessary resources, and support so you can focus your time in the classroom on forming connections with the children—and spend your time outside of school focused on yourself. Carefully paired co-teacher who complements your teaching style Work with your co-teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum. Prepare materials that help children explore their environment through learning activities and active play. Dedicated Education Coach to help you develop your skills and thrive in your role Fully stocked classroom, all materials provided by the school
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
- Must have a current Tennessee Teaching certificate or be in an eligible alternative licensure program.
- Must have patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children
- Must meet required state background check
- Must be able to work on iPad to enter children's daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.
- Up to par with oral and written skills
- Patience, attentive, and understanding for young children and their developmental needs
- Sense of urgency and flexibility
- Positive and caring attitude
- Coachable (receptive to feedback)
- Dependable (our school operations rely on and require your attendance)
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred
