To assist with instruction and supervision of students through one-on-one and group instruction, general supervision and assisting with testing and assessment of student’s progress. This role involves working with individual and small groups of students in the classroom or developmental center to reinforce learning material or skills introduced by the teacher. The paraprofessional will also translate material and information for parents, students, and staff, help administer tests and assessments, and maintain records and computer files under teacher supervision. Additionally, the position requires assisting the supervising instructor with duties specifically related to the area of instruction, which may include providing personal assistance with toileting, hygiene, feeding, and lifting, as well as other possible student needs.
