We are looking for a Kindergarten Grade Associate Teacher Leave Replacement to start in January 2026 and work until June 2026. Associate Teachers assist Head Teachers in all aspects of the life of the classroom. Associate Teachers work collaboratively with Head Teachers.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidates are aspiring classroom teachers interested in developing skills in lesson planning and instruction, in classroom management, and in the work of cultivating a community of dignity and belonging within our diverse and inclusive classroom communities.
  • Essential qualities include a positive attitude toward working with young children, flexibility, solid writing skills, organization, attention to detail, and an ability to collaborate as part of a grade level teaching team.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children ages four to ten is preferred.
  • Candidates enrolled in a Master’s Degree Program in Education (JK-8) are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and teaching lessons
  • Classroom management
  • Classroom set-up
  • Providing small group support for students
  • Leading whole group activities with the support of the Head Teacher
  • Preparing materials
  • Collaborating with Head Teacher(s) to support classroom routines, as well as recess, lunch, and morning duties
  • Assisting with the writing of student reports
  • Communicating regularly with grade level teams
  • Attending faculty meetings
  • Participation in faculty professional development opportunities
  • Participate in school wide events
