About The Position

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting school students through school-based mental health counseling. This role includes working collaboratively with school staff, offering consultation and support, and providing comprehensive case management services to students and their families. Essential Functions: Provides individual and group therapy to students. Provides therapy and psychoeducation to families of students as needed. Consults and collaborates with school staff regarding the needs/behavior of students. Provides crisis intervention support. Facilitates referrals to meet the medical and psychiatric needs of clients as indicated. Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with Agency standards. Participates in team meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: A master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from a CACREP-accredited program.
  • Experience: At least two years’ experience providing child, adolescent, and family therapy.
  • Other: Familiarity with DSM IV/V codes and Medicaid paperwork required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • All mental health clinicians must register with CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Health) within seven days of the date of hire.
  • All unlicensed clinicians must register with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) prior to the start date and must remain in active status throughout JFS employment.
  • Completion of the primary COVID-19 vaccination series (per CDC guidance) is required before the start of employment.
  • Frequent sitting and typing.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel between sites, communicate effectively, and use standard office and mobile equipment.
  • The employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 10 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • License preferred (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) but not required.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
