About The Position

Love teaching, cooking, and looking for a fun weekend job?! We're hiring a part-time Kids Cooking Instructor to lead classes and private events for ages of 3-13. We're seeking a high-energy individual who enjoys inspiring those around them to have fun in the kitchen. The right candidate should have prior culinary or teaching experience with this age group, a passion for the culinary arts, and the organizational skills required to lead great cooking experiences for children. What we offer: A great part-time weekend job with the ability for more hours for those with open availability Competitive hourly pay plus earned gratuity Steady employment Opportunity for advancement for those with passion, skill, and talent Social events Employee discounts Free t-shirt Responsibilities: Host amazing culinary experiences like birthday parties and family classes Engage and teach guests about various cooking and baking skills related to the class menu Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests Responsible for the success of the event from start to finish Interact with all guests to ensure customer satisfaction Sometimes you will work solo, but typically you will manage and supervise a team of culinary assistants for larger events Setup before class and clean up after Create a controlled safe and clean environment Qualifications: Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment and move quickly Natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment Upbeat personality with a smile on your face a majority of the time Eagerness to get your hands dirty Great communication skills with children Confident with a range of cooking and baking techniques and speaking in front of a group with an amplified speaking voice At least one or more years experience entertaining kids and/or adults Formal culinary education or relevant restaurant experience a plus Formal teaching experience and training in education, childhood development, or related field a plus Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 45 pounds Must pass a background check and be first aid/CPR certified (can be obtained after hired) Must enjoy the atmosphere of a small business Must be 18+ to be considered. Schedule/Availability Must be available Saturday & Sunday to work a minimum of 3-4 events. Additional hours are available, if desired. Who are we? Requirements
