About The Position

As the Kids Club Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the coordination of special events and operations within Nemacolin Resort. Works in conjunction with all recreation outlets to coordinate and carry out all holidays and special events. Provides management of Kids Club facility, including providing instruction and guidance to children by planning and implementing daily program activities. Administers the facilities personnel, program objectives, and activities. Coordinates activities of Child Care Instructors and Aides including hiring, training, lesson planning, and discipline. Promotes and markets the facility with the goal of increasing profit while maintaining a quality learning environment for all enrolled children. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.) Performing duties within budgeted forecasts and ensuring a positive guest experience with appropriate and effective staffing levels. Incorporating the resort's vision and mission into all aspects of the Recreation Department. Creating program growth by determining new trends and reacting accordingly. Informing Kids Club management of progress through weekly agendas. Assisting in developing and implementing special programs to maximize space and revenues. Addressing all associate issues within the parameters of the Associate Handbook. Ensuring that preventative maintenance is done on all equipment guided in the daily operations of Activities. Maintaining professional certifications and necessary skill levels to perform job duties and ensure guest safety. Creating, promoting, and selling new and existing programming. Communicating through oral and/or written directives and memoranda with all associates. Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
  • High school diploma required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Candidates must have the ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a college diploma or equivalent, as well as through a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role or equivalent.
