Kids Club Staff - On-Site Babysitting (Mon-Fri)
About The Position
The New Canaan YMCA is looking for part-time WEEKDAY staff for our Kids Club (on-site babysitting) program. Kids Club is our on-site drop-in babysitting program available to our members while they use our facility. Kids Club is available for children 6 months and older (children must be able to sit up on their own), while parents/guardians remain on the premises. We are looking for caring and energetic staff to provide safe oversight and engagement with all children and families utilizing the program. All New Canaan YMCA staff get COMPLIMENTARY membership to our facility, so this is a great way to earn some extra money and get you onsite so you can enjoy a workout after your shift is over!
Requirements
- Be reliable and dependable
- Experience in babysitting and/or childcare preferred
- Demonstrate ability to care for young children and take responsibility in their role.
- Have confidence to take control and make sound decisions easily.
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing environment for the children in their care.
- Supervise the children, playroom, and activities to create a fun and inviting space.
- Monitor check in/check out information and contact information in case parent/guardian must be reached.
