About The Position

YSS is on the lookout for an enthusiastic, caring, fun-loving, all-around rockstar Kids Club Site Coordinator to join our Kids Club Team in Boone! Kids Club exists to give kids a safe place to learn, laugh, and grow—and to enjoy the kind of childhood memories that stick. As the Site Coordinator, you’ll be the daily heartbeat of our Boone Kids Club locations. You’ll guide programming, support staff, and help create a space where kids feel encouraged, welcomed, and connected to positive adult role models: Please know this is not a complete list of the position’s responsibilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus three years’ experience in elementary/middle school, child-care, or child development settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Educated: Associate’s (or higher) degree plus at least one year of experience in elementary/middle school, child-care, or child development settings.
  • Child development savvy: Understands developmental stages and speaks kids’ language
  • Safety first: CPR/First Aid, Universal Precautions, and Mandatory Reporter Training (current within first three months if needed)
  • Loves kids: Meets them where they are and connects with all ages
  • Culturally aware: Experienced with kids and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Leader: Knows how to supervise, guide, and support staff with confidence
  • Top communicator: Clear, engaging, and effective with kids, families, and teammates

Responsibilities

  • Craft and lead full-day programming during the school year, in-service days, winter break, spring break, and summer.
  • Partner with staff and community pros to bring awesome educational and recreational activities to life.
  • Build a service-learning plan each school year with themed monthly activities that support program goals.
  • Provide leadership to site staff—coaching in behavior management, teaching strategies, and daily operations.
  • Oversee daily programming from start to finish, including prepping and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
  • Supervise and support children, tracking behavior, participation, and engagement.
  • Manage check-in and check-out processes with an eagle eye for safety and proper authorization.
  • Keep up with attendance, payments, and essential child/family information.
  • Complete required paperwork and show up for meetings and trainings.
