About The Position

The Kids’ Club Associate Creative Director will develop, maintain, and execute long-term creative goals, vision, and strategy for Kids’ Club, focusing primarily, but not exclusively, on 4th and 5th-grade students and their spiritual growth. This role will also work with the Central KC Director to assist KC site staff in executing the vision and strategy for 4th/5th grade. The vision and strategy may include, but are not limited to, the following: Lead the development of all materials that facilitate the execution of fun, welcoming, and safe environments for kids to experience God and grow in their faith. Stewardship of resources, including budget, project timelines, vendors, volunteers, and staff. Cultivate a creative talent pool that is excellent, diverse, and high in character. Advise KC Site Directors in setting measures for success, priorities for excellent experiences, and execution of brand expansion within all environments across 4th/5th grades. Partner with Creative Leads and other teammates to achieve content and strategic ministry goals. In addition, the Associate Creative Director will be involved in several aspects of creative production, writing, reviewing, editing, training, directing, and filming.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong writing and teaching skills.
  • Strong drive and demonstrated passion for kids’ ministry, especially older elementary and preteens.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, volunteers, and vendors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication is required.
  • Follow (and improve upon whenever possible) processes and develop new systems/processes for a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, problem solve, and adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment by managing one’s own time and proactively identifying what needs to get done.
  • Attention to and follow-through on details is a must.
  • Must be a self-initiator and have a teachable spirit.
  • Creativity, can see the big picture, attention to detail, meets deadlines, and a strong work ethic.
  • Works well both independently and within a team.
  • Must be willing and able to travel at times depending on projects/conferences/training.
  • Willing to work flexible hours (holidays, evenings and weekends) as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead members of the Kids’ Club Team in regular creation of Christ-centered, winsome, excellent, culturally-current content.
  • Assist the Creative Director and KC Director in achieving ministry goals through the management of resources, including budget, timelines, and vendors.
  • Assess and raise quality standards of processes and content, communicating areas of improvement and developing solutions.
  • Support development of video content. Includes, but not limited to: scheduling, scouting, purchases, performing as on-screen talent, writing and social media.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and retain volunteers.
  • Involved in all steps in the creative process, including but not limited to: Concept generation, Pre-production planning, operation of equipment (camera, microphones, etc.) at shoots, edit content (video, audio, etc.) and development of post-production assets.
  • Develop and manage strategic plans, including but not limited to curriculum, training, and other outward-facing assets to be viewed and used by families in the community.
  • Regularly observe weekend experiences at a variety of sites to assess the effectiveness of all creative content and strategic goals.
  • Work collaboratively and welcome constructive criticism to improve oneself and products.
  • Intentionally growing in skill sets.
