The Kids Camp Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of leadership, administration, staff management, and guest interaction with regards to Kids Camp and Nature Center programs. The role involves building existing programs and ensuring a high-quality guest experience while increasing business performance.

  • Work with the Ski School/Mountain Activities Director to determine overall direction of designated program.
  • Responsible for hiring staff and maintaining employment standards.
  • Enforce workplace disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Ensure Kids Camp aligns with state childcare licensing rules and regulations.
  • Oversee scheduling of operations team for effective coverage.
  • Support all staff including Kids Program Instructors, Outdoor/Activity Guides, & Interpreters.
  • Address staff, guest, and parent issues with compassion and professionalism.
  • Manage performance levels, staff evaluations, and goal setting.
  • Maintain inventory of retail offerings with Guest Services and Nature Center.
  • Propose and develop ideas for new lessons, products, and programs.
  • Spearhead weekly safety trainings and complete facility inspections.
  • Train staff on procedures and importance of liability waivers.
  • Monitor and approve bi-weekly timecards.
  • Schedule and lead monthly staff meetings and trainings.
  • Facilitate and demonstrate use of apparatus and equipment.
  • Assist in the development of Kids Camp activities and educational programs.
  • Coordinate with Mountain Operations and Culinary Department for adventure packages.
  • Propose, promote, and oversee special events.
  • Develop survey feedback system and track progress.
  • Monitor activity supplies and reorder as necessary.
  • Observe instructors to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Attend all appropriate departmental and company-wide meetings.
  • Finalize all administrative work on a daily basis.
  • Desire to ensure the best possible experience for every guest.
  • Base knowledge of educational philosophies.
