Kid Zone Volunteer
About The Position
The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, volunteers to assist with our Kid Zone program. This role is a opportunity to directly impact the lives of YMCA families by fostering genuine connections, practicing exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. Purpose & Impact: Be a Mentor Provide guidance and support to youth while teaching and reinforcing the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Practice Intentionality Arrive prepared and on time, communicate professionally, and adapt to changing needs to ensure a positive experience for all. Model Core Values Demonstrate honesty, respect, and integrity by following YMCA policies, enforcing safety standards, and treating everyone ethically. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Clear Live Scan (background check)
- Volunteer should interact well with children, teens, and/or adults
- Have a professional and positive approach to volunteering
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
- Ability to be an effective member of a team
