About The Position

CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates for Khmer language professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. This role will enable you to utilize both your linguistic and analytical skills for mission-driven roles. You will translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced-level printed materials, including but not limited to: technical manuals, foreign language periodicals, and audio files into correct grammatical American English. You will work either lead or be part of a team of linguists supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (4 years or more of on-the-job experience in the Specific HLT field).
• Approved testing in translation and speaking, listening, and reading.
• Fluency in Khmer and a good understanding of one or more regional dialects.
• Excellent English-language verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and applications, especially PowerPoint.
• Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts.

Responsibilities

• Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that contain facts and abstract language.
• Capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text.
• Interpret accurately, with the ability to perform consecutive interpretation and occasionally simultaneous interpretation.
• Review audio or internet materials and transcribe with a high degree of accuracy and expression.
• Prepare reports with excellent English-language written communication skills.
