About The Position

CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates for Khmer language professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. What You’ll Get to Do: This role will enable you to utilize both your Khmer linguistic and analytical skills for mission-driven roles. You will translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced-level printed materials, including but not limited to: technical manuals, foreign language periodicals, and audio files into correct grammatical American English. You will work either lead or be part of a team of linguists supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS operations.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen
MUST have a current and active TS/SCI Polygraph
Must have at least 5 years' professional (recent) experience in translation, interpretation and transcribing
Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (4 years or more of on-the-job experience in the Specific HLT field)
Approved testing, translation and speaking, listening and reading Language and level required: Khmer

Responsibilities

Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances
Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text
Interpretation: Able to interpret accurately. The ability to consecutive interpretation is needed, but on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation maybe required. Has a good understanding of one of more regional dialects.
Transcription: Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression. Candidate needs to posses excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports.
Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts Web.
Must posses computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research on the Web
Excellent English-language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings
