The Key Holder is the designated caretaker for the property. This position’s primary responsibility is to function as the additional "eyes and ears" for the property assigned. The Key Holder will also assist the rest of the staff, as directed, in their efforts to manage the community in an efficient manner. Conduct all business in accordance with company Policy and Procedures, Tax Credit Regulations, Fair Housing Laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to multifamily housing. Key Holders also perform duties like assisting residents and answering their questions. Ensure proper response and handling of all property emergencies with staff, residents, buildings, etc. within company guidelines to minimize liabilities (i.e., criminal activity on property, employee/resident injuries, fires, floods, etc.). Learn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules Serve as a communication link between the community and manager and/or Supervisor This job description is intended to describe the general nature and work responsibilities of the position.
