About The Position

The company employs over 600 associates in its retail stores and offers over 40 programs and services to the community, including job readiness and assistive technology services. They offer both part-time and full-time positions with various schedules. The Keyholder Supervisor role involves supervising store operations such as loading and unloading trailers, processing textiles and wares, quality control, rotation, sales, and general operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Knowledge and experience in cash register procedures, stock control, banking procedures, merchandising and display
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens
  • Ability to supervise and train employees in cashiering, banking, stock, and display
  • Ability to effectively perform the duties of opening and closing the store as needed
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to work as a team member
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently
  • Organizational skills
  • Maintain the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Provide own transportation and adequate liability insurance

Responsibilities

  • Assist store manager with managing budgeted sales and expense to revenue (E/R)
  • Operate cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, checks, correct change, receipts, returns, voids, discounts, credit cards, etc.
  • Perform banking procedures, including reconciliation of Daily Business Statements and deposit slips
  • Train and supervise store employees in retail procedures
  • Display and model excellent customer service
  • Ensure store is maintained in accordance with company policies on housekeeping, safety and security
  • Perform stocking, display, and inventory duties
  • Perform merchandise ordering as assigned, including processing requests to transportation
  • Work a flexible schedule to comply with the needs of the store
  • Follow the dress code as set by Goodwill and set a professional example for employees

  • Display and encourage the ability to offer suggestions and make decisions that will positively impact the store and cause business to grow
