About The Position

The position involves supervising store operations, which includes loading and unloading trailers, processing textiles, managing wares, ensuring quality control, and overseeing sales and operations. The role requires assisting the store manager in managing budgeted sales and expenses, operating the cash register, performing banking procedures, and training store employees in retail procedures. The individual will also ensure that the store is maintained according to company policies regarding housekeeping, safety, and security, while performing stocking, display, and inventory duties. A flexible schedule is necessary to meet the store's needs, and the individual must comply with the dress code and promote a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement within the agency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Knowledge and experience in cash register procedures, stock control, banking procedures, merchandising, and display.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.

Responsibilities

  • Assist store manager with managing budgeted sales and expense to revenue (E/R).
  • Operate cash register accurately and efficiently, including proper handling of cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Perform banking procedures, including reconciliation of Daily Business Statements and deposit slips.
  • Train and supervise store employees in retail procedures.
  • Display and model excellent customer service.
  • Ensure store is maintained in accordance with company policies on housekeeping, safety, and security.
  • Perform stocking, display, and inventory duties.
  • Order merchandise as assigned, including processing requests to transportation.
  • Work a flexible schedule to comply with the needs of the store.
  • Follow the dress code as set by Goodwill and set a professional example for employees.
  • Embrace the empowerment and continuous improvement culture in the agency.

  • Provide own transportation and adequate liability insurance.
  • Maintain the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
