About The Position

The Key Opinion Leader (KOL) & Market Development Strategist will play a crucial role in shaping an insights-driven KOL strategy for the upcoming launch of a brand/therapeutic area. This position focuses on managing KOL engagement and early market education, aiming to establish a competitive edge and proactive market leadership. The strategist will collaborate across various functions to optimize customer engagement and ensure a consistent brand vision and messaging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in sales, brand management, or marketing within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including medical, regulatory, and clinical processes.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and ethical considerations in engaging with healthcare providers.
  • Proven track record of successful KOL relationship management and strategic collaboration.
  • Experience leading brand/therapy area strategy development and driving impactful customer experiences.
  • Track record of innovative market tactics and high impact results based on metrics/ROI.
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience leading market development and early market education activities.
  • Successful launch experience in a marketing role.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute KOL engagement strategies to build advocacy and support for the upcoming launch.
  • Oversee early market education initiatives to generate brand awareness among healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of KOL and market education strategies.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of implemented strategies, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead the development and execution of thought leadership programs and educational initiatives involving KOLs.
  • Facilitate scientific communication between internal stakeholders and KOLs regarding NNI products and healthcare trends.
  • Coordinate participation in scientific conferences and events to enhance visibility and engagement with KOLs.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives to expand market awareness and educate providers.
  • Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including KOLs and agencies.
  • Ensure productive management of the KOL marketing budget.
