About The Position

The Key Controller at The Broadmoor Hotel plays a vital role in maintaining the hotel's reputation for exceptional service by overseeing the proper storage of keys and managing records for overnight vehicles. This position is part of the Guest Services team and is essential in ensuring that guests receive a warm welcome and that their needs are met efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior guest services or administrative experience helpful; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed all applicable AAA and Forbes standards set for Key Control staff.
• Smile and welcome guests with a positive attitude that supports the philosophy of The Broadmoor Hotel.
• Coordinate information logged in computer system.
• Distribute keys to Guest Services staff accurately and appropriately.
• Ensure appropriate parking billing in AS400.
• Communicate efficiently and in a timely manner to Door staff, Hostess and Supervisors.
• Answer phones in a timely manner adhering to proper phone etiquette standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Print key log reports and file appropriate reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of any guest information.
• Secure the key storage area.
• Handle all entry/exit calls from Garage gates.
• Answer questions regarding parking rates and arrangements.
