The Key Carrier role at Marshalls is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers primarily perform Coordinator duties but occasionally act as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. This role requires open availability, including nights and weekends. Key Carriers are expected to model exceptional customer service, promote honesty and integrity, and maintain confidentiality. They act as Manager on Duty, ensuring tasks are performed according to the store plan, addressing customer service issues, and providing coaching to Associates. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate Associate coverage, executing opening/closing procedures, and communicating effectively with management and Associates. The role involves providing feedback, recognition, and coaching, partnering on training needs, ensuring adherence to labor laws and policies, promoting credit and loyalty programs, supporting shrink reduction, and maintaining a safe environment.
