Responsibilities

  • Ensure world-class donor and customer service by greeting customers promptly and providing friendly assistance.
  • Open and close the store as scheduled.
  • Supervise and motivate store employees to meet production guidelines.
  • Receive, price, display, and sell store merchandise, delegating tasks as necessary.
  • Operate the cash register, process sales, and handle returns and exchanges.
  • Record and balance cash register receipts and store transactions daily.
  • Maintain the store's interior and exterior in an attractive manner.
  • Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise and assist in loss control efforts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the store and donation stations.
  • Train and supervise staff, providing feedback on performance.
  • Conduct workplace orientations for new hires as needed.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for daily operations in the absence of the store manager.
  • Sort clothes into salvage or sellable merchandise with minimal salvage items.
  • Transfer racks from the back room to the sales floor when full.
  • Restock garments and small wares on the sales floor as needed.
  • Ensure a clean work station at the end of each shift.
