About The Position

The primary objective of the Key Accounts Manager is to be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key assigned customers, ensuring their needs are met, and internally reporting key performance metrics. The Key Accounts Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring customer success across the Accurus strategic program enterprise. This role is responsible for strengthening customer relationships, aligning communication across multiple sites, and ensuring that all contractual and performance requirements are consistently met. The Key Accounts Manager will collaborate closely with operations and program management teams to drive execution excellence, resolve issues proactively, and deliver optimal program outcomes.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or other relevant field is required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Business Development, Outside Sales, or Project Management for a technically complex manufactured product industry is required; experience in aerospace component manufacturing or similarly complex CNC machining is highly preferred
  • Advanced training/qualifications in program management, supply chain management, estimating, manufacturing, engineering, or other related technical discipline, or demonstrated practical experience in these fields
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, compile executive summaries, and make informed recommendations
  • Strategic thinking and a results-driven mindset to identify program risks and drive meaningful outcomes
  • Experience reading and preparing technical business reports, specifications, and proposals; ability to read and appropriately interpret regulations and technical reports and specifications
  • Project management and organizational skills to ensure progress toward multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously; attention to detail and deadlines is critical
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality, securing employee and company records, and demonstrating integrity in communications and actions
  • Self-management skills, including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines in a semi-autonomous work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and online portals, tools & research
  • This role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore, qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):
  • An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship, or
  • An individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder), or
  • An individual who is granted status as a "protected person"

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key customers as identified and assigned by leadership
  • Serve as a supplementary point of contact for key customers (in support of assigned Program Managers), understanding their business needs and objectives
  • Proactively address any issues or concerns raised by key customers, working collaboratively with internal teams to find solutions
  • Communicate client expectations and requirements to internal stakeholders
  • Develop and implement key customer plans aligned with the overall business strategy & objectives
  • Monitor and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across assigned customer programs
  • Collate monthly customer scorecard data across all key accounts and programs for site and corporate reporting
  • Monitor assigned customer portals for communications
  • Distribute customer communications to relevant internal stakeholders as required
  • Manage Accurus user and subscription details within customer portals
  • Undertake Program Management responsibilities for designated new and legacy programs
  • For assigned programs - Plan, coordinate and manage all project-associated activities on new and existing programs from initial industrialization through to delivery, including supporting management of subcontractors
  • Maintain compliance with contractual requirements, quality procedures, processes, and policies to support the delivery of program and product
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact program delivery
  • Provide detailed program status/recovery updates to internal and external stakeholders as requested
  • Contribute to financial forecasting and management of designated programs, including payment management
  • Contribute to the management and administration of export compliance and ITAR documentation in support of Accurus programs
  • Identify key current or future partners who complement Accurus' capabilities
  • Participate, as required, in networking events, industry conferences, and meetings to expand the enterprise’s professional network
  • Contribute to Customer and VIP visits at Accurus locations as required
  • Provide back-up support to teammates within the Business Development function
  • Undertake additional responsibilities aligned with enterprise growth strategies
  • Undertake domestic and international travel as may be required to execute the role
  • Maintain working hours within time zones to support global stakeholder engagement
