About The Position

The Key Account Manager at Syneos Health is responsible for managing and coordinating strategic relationships with key customer accounts in the healthcare sector, particularly focusing on oncology. This role involves developing in-depth knowledge of customer accounts, creating account plans, and engaging with key stakeholders to achieve access goals. The position requires a consultative approach to problem-solving and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of account strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience, with at least five years in healthcare sales/account management.
  • At least two years of key account management experience in Vaccines preferred.
  • Demonstrated enterprise-level entrepreneurial thinking and consultative mindset.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of each assigned customer account including strategic goals and unique challenges.
  • Create account plans integrating market vertical organizations and influencer mapping.
  • Understand customer business segmentation for product objective planning and execution.
  • Develop understanding of contracting and product access processes at key accounts.
  • Engage with oncology C-suite executives and key population health decision makers.
  • Perform targeted PIE engagements with top community and health system accounts.
  • Support clinical advocacy and ensure coverage on provider pathways and formularies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for account strategy development and business planning.
  • Lead matrix teams without authority and guide field team engagement with customer accounts.
