This is a full-time, exempt position. The Key Account Manager will develop relationships with strategic accounts consisting of swine and poultry accounts and regional feed companies in the assigned territory. Target Operating Profit targets will be set and approved by the VP of Feed additives & Ingredients with focus accounts identified. The position will primarily include the northwest region and will focus on uncovering and understanding individual customer goals and priorities, positioning the appropriate ADM AN products and services to meet and exceed those needs.

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects
  • Create plan and deliver presentations on company products
  • Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments
  • Track all sales activities in company CRM system
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
  • Meet and/or exceed quotas
  • Develop and update comprehensive territory business plan including financial targets per account while maintaining strategic accounts
  • Attain established fiscal years sales with Feed additives and specialty ingredients
  • Identify all potential accounts within the assigned territory while maintaining & analyzing clear concise financial goals and opportunities via salesforce
  • Proactively work with product managers and technical sales staff to develop specific strategies to grow specialty ingredient portfolio with assigned territory
  • Monitor and report feed ingredient pricing in the assigned region along with other feed industry trends and competitor activities
  • Work closely with assigned customer service professional to efficiently service customer needs
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with 3+ years of adequate knowledge in animal nutrition, including current trends in production, nutrition, and specialty additive landscape
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Technical sales manager
  • Ability to solve problems and build strong relationships with key customer base
  • Superior verbal and written communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Effective presentation and sales skills around specialty additives
  • Training on and mastering new specialty additive technologies
  • Continue learning and better understanding the legacy ADM portfolio
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expectations to travel 40-60% of the time
