We’re here to better our world with biology. Join us as Key Account Manager - Pet industry! In this role you’ll make an impact by: Developing new business with key Pet accounts. Implementing the US AH&N Business Unit strategies as it relates to Novonesis Pet portfolio. Maintaining in-depth high-level contacts with key end users and influencers, keeping them informed of price trends, new products and applications. Investigating customer complaints and solve routine industry problems on site. This includes, but is not limited to, new product applications, marketing efforts, new facilities, price trends, and key industry personnel. Meeting or exceeding sales budget targets on a year-to-year basis. Providing timely sales and product forecasts, reports and information as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Pet Food Science or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of actual sales experience in the companion animal industry is required
  • Good negotiation and follow-up skills
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
  • Relevant technical skills to know the right questions to ask of customers
  • Must be a self-starter with drive and initiative and work with little supervision
  • Passion for the pet food and supplement industry
  • Excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of working time.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new business with key Pet accounts.
