The Key Account Manager (KAM) Director leads the strategy, structure, and performance of a portfolio of strategic accounts. This role sets standards and performance expectations for KAMs, ensures strong executive alignment and investment, and drives overall program results while coaching and developing regional KAM teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 4–5 years of experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
  • 10+ years of overall professional experience.
  • Proven experience in strategic key account management and contract negotiations.
  • High proficiency in budgeting, forecasting and contract management.
  • Strong people leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success in account assignments, portfolio management, and growth planning.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expected travel in this role will be 35%-50%

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi‑year strategic growth plans and key account innovation roadmaps to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams to define and deliver account strategies, priorities, and clear ownership.
  • Drive execution of key sales initiatives and growth opportunities.
  • Improve profitability through strategic pricing, upselling, cross‑selling, and contract negotiations.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Field Sales, Customer Service, Product Development, and Marketing.
  • Co‑create and steer joint innovation roadmaps with customers and internal development teams.
  • Provide quarterly plant service requirements to support local sales and technical customer service activity.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics to inform account strategy.
  • Ensure customer complaints are resolved accurately and in a timely manner.
