We are looking for a sales professional with experience in the beverage space who is genuinely passionate about the category and its evolving trends. You will help bring our wellness roadmap to life in the market. Reporting to the Director of Sales Functional Ingredients, NOAM, you will manage your accounts through top and bottom lines and by generating a broad base of new business opportunities. This is a remote role preferably on the West Coast.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Management, Marketing or Food Science.
  • 6+ years experience in sales, marketing or customer relationship experience in food or related industries. (Beverage/Wellness helpful)
  • Experience incorporating comprehensive knowledge and analysis in presentations.
  • Understanding of the ingredient industry, including consumer and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of customer strategies, programs, commercial needs and product launch processes and competitor activity.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Engagement: Cultivate customer relationships with important decision-makers, positioning ourselves as a preferred supplier and ensuring we position ourselves to participate in RFPs, briefs and on core supplier lists. We are focused on delivering a positive customer experience through innovation, collaboration, and service.
  • Account Management: Lead and influence strategic account planning. Develop comprehensive action plans for main accounts. Develop thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning strength and weaknesses, and competitive data. Manage brief pipeline to achieve growth plans.
  • Negotiate and Collaborate: Manage large commercial projects. Ensure visibility and exposure for us at customers by maintaining and guiding appropriate call frequency with essential 2/2 product demonstrations and technical to technical interface. Follow up on customer inquiries. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements following company guidelines.
