About The Position

As a Government Key Account Manager for the US Air Force, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by determining directions, priorities, and assigning resources with full accountability for results of functional area. You will be responsible for managing sales targets for assigned customers/area(s)/product line(s), identifying and defining market/product opportunities to meet sales and growth objectives, and driving growth of 3M solutions at some of the Nation’s largest military depots and repair facilities. You will own, leverage, and cultivate senior level relationships at assigned accounts to identify business needs/drivers and position 3M solutions for growth. Additionally, you will build and execute channel engagement plans that leverage existing government contracts and market trends, lead 3M Team members at assigned accounts to foster collaboration, and create, maintain, and execute a pipeline of opportunities and engagements to realize key sales targets and metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of account sales experience in a commercial, government, or military environment OR Five (5) years of military experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of key account sales experience in a government or military environment.
  • Strategic management of product distribution companies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within a complex matrix organization.
  • Experience working as a government employee.
  • Skills in managing through CRM tools, selling skills, and C-Suite sales.
