About The Position

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is hiring a Key Account Lead MS Service Specialist to support the repair, installation, and technical leadership of our advanced Mass Spec instrumentation including LCMS, GCMS, and hybrid platforms. This is a senior-level, customer-facing position with national scope, supporting escalated service needs and driving success across key accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or closely related field strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of field service experience supporting Mass Spec systems required
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring within a service team
  • Deep troubleshooting and customer service expertise across mechanical, electronic, and software domains
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
  • Must be self-directed and capable of thriving in a national support role

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain Mass Spec systems (LCMS, GCMS) across key accounts
  • Serve as a national-level escalation point for unresolved service issues
  • Deliver on-site and remote technical training to field engineers and customers
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and interpret chromatograms to verify system performance
  • Manage technical documentation, recommend design improvements, and support method optimization
  • Lead cross-functional communication with regional and HQ support teams
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking and adherence to safety protocols
  • Travel up to 75% by air or car; overnight travel required
