General Overview . We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Key Account Director to join our team full-time. The role is an integral part of our company’s business development process. In this role you are the lead point of contact and will serve as a strategic partner/advisor to some of our largest customers. You may also be responsible for expanding and diversifying our business by discovering and establishing new Key Accounts by initiating relationships and securing new project opportunities to ensure future growth. This is a management position leading cross-functionally in: project management, effective planning, goal setting, market analysis and forecasting to ensure customer expectations, revenue projections and company objectives are met.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Business Management, Sales, Marketing or relevant work experience.
  • 8+ years of prior OEM Key Account sales in Water Filtration Industry (or related)
  • Demonstrated leadership in strategic OEM Key Account role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally ensuring VOC in Product Development projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong prospecting and excellent closing skills
  • Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel to Key Account Customers on a regular basis

Responsibilities

  • Key Account Management Strategic partner to our top key accounts ensuring we exceed customer expectations in delivering filtration solutions.
  • Develop a complete understanding of key account needs, anticipate changes, and suggest improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with members of key account across multiple functions and levels including senior key stakeholders.
  • Manage communications between our key accounts and internal teams ensuring we exceed customer expectations while balancing business efficiency
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales goals for each account, projecting expected sales volume and profit for both new and existing products.
  • Taking a key role in the product development process by working cross functionally with Engineering to communicate our customers’ technical requirements and translate them into new products.
  • Responsible for developing and executing the sales plan to achieve budgeted revenue, profitability, and goals for our key customers.
  • Establish and build brand value and brand awareness for products with new and existing customers.
  • Develop a solid and trusting relationship between our largest customers and KX Technologies.
  • Expand business with our existing customers and develop new business through key account acquisition.
  • Conduct technical product presentations for new and existing customers.
  • Continually evaluate our customer relationships, position, and competitive challenges to recommend changes that will positively impact sales.
  • Analyze key and target account requirements and develop strategic plans that will increase sales and market share.
  • Identify resources required (i.e., products and processes) required for business growth and assist in developing business plans to support the changes needed to support that growth.
  • Maintain high level of industry knowledge through on-line research, trade publications and attending industry tradeshows and events.
  • Provide reports as required related to sales forecasts, pipeline tracking, customer initiatives and projects.
  • Monitor and document activities with prospects and existing customers.
  • Provide the Quality and Manufacturing teams with timely field feedback on product performance and quality improvements to ensure high-quality products are being produced and customer needs are met.
