About The Position

BASIC PURPOSE The purpose of this position is to greet the public at the red kettle and collect donations.

Requirements

• Must have a pleasant personality and the ability to communicate well with the public.
• Must present an appropriate appearance (i.e., clothing should be neat, clean and pressed, not loose-fitting or sloppy, and in good condition; shoes must be clean and in good condition). Due to cold weather, you will want to dress warmly. The red windbreaker must be worn at all times along with an identification badge.

Responsibilities

• Stand at the Red Kettle to receive donations.
• Greet and thank the public as they donate.
• Be responsible for the kettle donation money at all times, including securing the money during breaks and meal periods.
• Provide written documentation of hours worked to the supervisor as requested.
• Follow instructions regarding times and locations of work.
• Report all instances and concerns to their immediate supervisor immediately.
