Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Two or more years of industrial equipment or food manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to apply good judgement and understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Ability to communicate production issues, counts, and weights to supervision or lead personnel.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of GMP and safe food manufacturing practices is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift/Pallet Jack Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, operate, and disassemble equipment used for production.
  • Load and unload materials, packaging, and finished goods products from racks or pallets.
  • Work in production and sanitation as directed by the plant production supervisor.
  • Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) during production, sanitation, and handling materials and ingredients.
  • Maintain and make adjustments to equipment to control designated weights on an individual package or case weight basis.
  • Meet production performance requirements in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Transfer finished products and raw materials to identified locations in the plant/warehouse or on the production line.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Perform CCP checks as needed depending on location in the plant and during manufacturing.
  • Report all food safety and human safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
