About The Position

The Ketchikan Terminal opens at 8:45A and closes at 4:00P. Terminal Agents are responsible for interacting with customers to help them make reservations, change existing reservations, and issue tickets for passengers and vehicles. They are also expected to answer customer questions and help resolve any problems they may have concerning schedules, rates, or other IFA policies over the phone or in person. In addition, you'll be tasked with collecting money in accordance with the published rate schedule, balancing your till, and preparing a daily report of sales that will be submitted to the Terminal Manager and Accounting. Terminal Agents are also expected to perform janitorial and maintenance duties as needed and assist vessel staff with line handling, vessel loading and unloading, and other duties as requested by the vessel Master or Mate. Terminal Agents may be assigned to serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) or be responsible for security as assigned by FSO. Overall, your main goal will be to provide excellent customer service while maintaining the smooth operation of the ferry system.
