About The Position

Do you like hands-on work and troubleshooting mechanical issues? Kenworth in Bel Air is seeking mid-level to experienced Diesel Technicians to join our expanding team. We’re looking for dependable professionals with solid mechanical skills, strong attention to detail, and a desire to contribute right away. Experience with Kenworth trucks is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Diesel technician experience (Kenworth preferred)
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Regularly required to talk, listen, stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms
• Must be able to lift, carry, and transport materials up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally more than 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Diesel technician experience (Kenworth preferred)

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Kenworth trucks as directed by the Service Manager
• Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulics, electrical, and hydrostatic systems
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed
• Recommend appropriate repairs and prepare cost estimates
• Maintain accurate records of repairs performed
• Communicate with the factory for technical assistance
• Stay current with industry trends and technical advancements
• Perform additional duties as assigned
