About The Position

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE), Bullitt County Area Technology Center (ATC) in Shepherdsville, KY has an opening for a Welding Instructor. Bullitt County ATC is looking for an experienced, hard-working, and dedicated person to help students reach their career goals in the area of Welding. This position is very exciting and rewarding, as instructors get to see students in grades 9-12 further their education and complete this career path. This position is advertised as part of KRS Chapter 156 OCTE for employment through the Office of Career and Technical Education. It is not subject to the provisions of KRS 18A for classified or unclassified service. Salary dependent upon qualifications, training, and experience. Requirements

Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught
OR
Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught
OR
Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.

Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (NCCR, ABC, AGC). Applicant can be hired without the needed personal certifications but must acquire the needed certification at the next available testing period.
