About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care for animals in our facility, ensuring their comfort and well-being while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kennel or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of animal handling techniques and basic animal care practices.
• Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff or management.
• Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and well-being.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed while handling animals.
