About The Position

Opelika Animal Hospital is Hiring a Kennel Technician! Position Details Role: Kennel Technician Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable and based on experience Schedule: 30-40 hours with a rotating schedule, including some Saturday and Sunday shifts Opelika Animal Hospital is looking for a kennel technician to join our team! Our team consists of highly skilled veterinarians and staff. Together, we have a combined 110 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Our knowledge and experience allow us to provide the best medical care possible for your pet. Ensuring that the animals always have ample fresh food and water Cleaning animal waste, spilled food, hair and other debris from kennels Accompany animals on walks, if required Calming animals that are in distress Bathing dogs and cats Reporting significant changes in functioning to the Veterinarian or medical professional on duty Evacuating all animals in case of an emergency Assisting Veterinarians -experience required What You'll Bring: Previous experience caring for animals Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Physically fit and agile Capacity to lift to 50 pounds unaided. A passion for animal welfare Available to work evenings, on weekends, and public holidays Previous experience as a kennel tech preferred. Requirements

  • Previous experience caring for animals
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Physically fit and agile
  • Capacity to lift to 50 pounds unaided.
