Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years old.

• Professional animal care background in a veterinary facility is desirable.

• 1 year of veterinary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide proper husbandry and care of boarded animals, including feeding and bathing.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the hospital, including cages, runs, and ward areas.
• Receive animals for admission and ensure proper identification and record-keeping.
• Release animals to their owners as directed by the doctor, ensuring they are clean and groomed.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to make them feel comfortable leaving their pets in care.
• Monitor animal behavior and physical needs, reporting any unusual conditions.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medication administration and patient restraint.
• Conduct regular cleaning and sanitizing of all areas, including changing litter boxes and food/water bowls.
• Maintain laundry for the kennel and hospital, and manage grounds maintenance.
• Provide tours of the facility to potential clients, highlighting unique features.
