About The Position

VCA Andersons Corner Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time kennel attendant to provide excellent care to our boarding and hospital patients. Requirements

• Healthy, positive attitude
• Able to humanely handle animals under various circumstances.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and carry 40 lbs bags and boxes.
• Availability to work: morning, afternoon, weekends, and/or holidays
• Experience with handling dogs and cats, willingness to work with different animal personalities.
• Able to read, write, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Feeding and walking animals
• Documentation skills
• Cleaning bowls/dishes
• Cleaning all cages, runs, kennel areas.
• Bathing animals, nail trims.
• Assist other employees and clients in a cheerful and respectful manner as a representative of VCA.
• Client interactions, admitting and discharging animals.
• Phone and Computer skills
• Should enjoy working with dogs and cats.
