About The Position

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking Kennel Attendants to join our team! Our Kennel Attendants are responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals boarding with facility. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves animals and can provide high-quality, compassionate pet care for our clients.

This is a part-time opportunity and Full-time opportunity. Starting rate is based on previous experience and qualifications. To best serve our clients and their pets, a weekly weekend shift commitment and select holidays are required for this position.

Requirements

• Previous experience in animal handling or kennel care preferred
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Candidates must be at least 16 years of age
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

Responsibilities

• Handle general care tasks such as walking dogs, feeding animals, cleaning cages and litter boxes, and medication administration
• Assist in restraining and bathing animals
• Follow a regular cleaning and sanitation schedule
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Recognize and record any unusual condition or abnormal behavior
