About The Position

Are you passionate about working with animals and committed to providing top-notch care? West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is looking for a dedicated Kennel Attendant to join our team! Please note: This is not a seasonal position. We are looking for candidates who are available to work indefinitely. Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role: Kennel Duties: Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding animals, including feeding, cleaning, and exercising Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kennel environment Assist with basic grooming such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming Observe animal health and behavior, and promptly report any concerns to veterinary staff Administer medications and treatments as directed May assist with handling animals during examinations or procedures Accurately document animal care and treatments Day Care Duties (in addition to kennel duties): Monitor one-on-one playtimes with dogs of all breeds and temperaments Provide attention, enrichment, and socialization for day care guests Administer food and treats per owner or hospital instructions Maintain and transport hospital laundry to/from our 24-hour facility Assist with check-in and check-out of boarding and day care pets

Requirements

• Ability to lift and perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skill
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with animals preferred
• Knowledge of basic animal care and handling
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
