About The Position

The Asset Protection Specialist at Kennedy Valve is responsible for safeguarding the company's physical assets while providing exceptional customer service to Team Members, Visitors, and Contractors. This part-time role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, as well as responding to emergencies and monitoring security systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; applicable certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in Asset Protection, Security, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional appearance.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Team Members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issues.
  • Willingness to work rotating shift hours if needed.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety rules.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and secure environment for Team Members, Visitors, and Contractors.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service as a representative of Kennedy Valve.
  • Direct incoming telephone calls to the appropriate department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure adherence to asset-related processes and procedures.
  • Communicate with Team Members, Visitors, and Contractors to resolve potential conflicts.
  • Monitor and track safety and environmental alarms, making timely notifications when triggered.
  • Act as a First Responder and assist in coordinating emergency responses when necessary.
  • Track and log waste shipments in and out of the facility.
  • Collect, sign, and distribute delivery/service truck materials paperwork.
  • Conduct routine rounds throughout the facility and grounds to monitor for emergencies.
  • Monitor physical security systems and other safety equipment.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
