About The Position

Within Osbornedale State Park lies the hidden gem of the Kellogg Estate, the former home and gardens of philanthropist, businesswoman, and conservationist Frances Osborne Kellogg. Osborne Homestead Museum celebrates her life through programs and tours; the museum includes a significant collection of antiques and fine arts and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Kellogg Environmental Center offers professional development workshops for educators, monthly art exhibits, nature activities, and programs for the general public. Throughout the year, the Center offers special weekend programs, nature walks, and family workshops.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow instructions

Responsibilities

  • Providing guided tours of the Homestead and historical gardens
  • Leading environmental education programs
  • Leading historical interpretive programs
  • Light gardening or other grounds work
  • Light cleaning
  • Customer service, including answering phones, emails, and greeting visitors
  • Light trail maintenance within Osbornedale State Park
  • Clerical and marketing tasks such as creating flyers, writing press releases, scheduling programs & art shows, collecting program data, creating social media posts, etc.
