  • Oversee the daily operations of the Mauna Kea Keiki Club and Westin Family Kids Club, ensuring compliance with all state and county childcare licensing requirements.
  • Create and enhance programs that are safe, fun, and culturally enriching, blending Hawaiian culture, language, ecology, and history.
  • Lead staff training, procure program materials, and ensure both clubs are clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Maintain all licensing, certifications, continuing education, and state-required compliance for Kids Club operations and staff.
  • Oversee and participate in daily Kids Club activities across both properties, ensuring engaging, age-appropriate, and culturally rich experiences for children ages 5–12.
  • Lead staffing functions including performance, scheduling, training, and recruitment, while upholding guest service and safety standards.
  • Design and implement a dynamic Kids Club calendar blending fun, outdoor, cultural, and educational activities to foster guest loyalty.
  • Serve as primary parent contact, ensuring trust through professional communication, safety protocols, and warm hospitality.
  • Maintain organized play areas and well-stocked supplies, and manage accurate records of attendance, participation, charges, and revenue.
  • Collaborate with Front Desk, Marketing, Concierge, and other departments to streamline resources and ensure seamless communication of offerings.
  • Provide hands-on support by training counselors and stepping in as needed to ensure continuity of care and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ensure all activity spaces and wellness areas are well-maintained, fully stocked, and aligned with safety and luxury brand standards.
  • Support the teaching and scheduling of fitness classes and resort activities for adults and families, working with instructors and wellness partners.
  • Act as on-site support during signature wellness or seasonal events.
  • Support and provide relief for the Fitness Center Manager during vacations and days off to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain strong guest presence, handle concerns and special requests, and foster positive public relations.
  • Lead pre-shift briefings and keep team members informed on hotel and community events.
  • Enforce department policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
  • Train, coach, evaluate, and support team members across Keiki Programs (primary) and Fitness/Wellness Centers (secondary).
  • Manage daily Keiki Program operations with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Inspect facilities for safety, equipment issues, and service quality, recommending and reporting improvements.
  • Conduct walkthroughs to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest service.
  • Support site inspections, pre-planning meetings, photo shoots, and promotional activities to drive businesses.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in children’s programming (resort, camp, or club), preferred.
  • A background in fitness, wellness, or recreation is a plus.
  • Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • State Department of Human Services Child Care Provider Certification.
  • TB clearance.
  • 6 months supervising or working with children; ability to manage groups effectively.
  • Knowledge of Hawaiian culture preferred.
