About The Position

NFI is seeking dedicated truck drivers for local routes with a home daily schedule. The position involves operating a dry van and performing live offloads and drop & hook activities without touch. The operating area includes states such as MD, CT, MA, RI, PA, NJ, VA, and NY, with a borough pay premium. Drivers will work either a Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday AM shift.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Current Class A CDL from your state of residence.
• Minimum six (6) months of relevant tractor-trailer experience.
• Acceptable references from past employers.
• Meet all applicable DOT qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties safely and responsibly.
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or customer rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Physically capable to perform all job duties, which includes moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting.
• Use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
• Report all problems with equipment, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during, and after routes.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
• Perform routes, pickups & deliveries based on customer requirements.
