About The Position

The Project Management Specialist - Control Account Manager at Boeing plays a critical role in managing the business and performance of the KC-46 Program. This position is responsible for ensuring effective program execution through the Earned Value Management System (EVMS), overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and estimates at completion (EAC) within Control Accounts. The role requires collaboration with Integrated Product Team leaders to drive successful outcomes and maintain program integrity.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • 3+ years of experience leading projects using Project Management Best Practices and tools
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years of experience working with Earned Value Management principles
  • 3+ years of experience developing/managing metrics and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA)
  • Proven ability to bring key stakeholders together to achieve consensus on priorities.

  • Experience in or working with the Engineering function and understanding of responsibilities, workflows, and value streams
  • Experience with meeting business rhythm objectives and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Program Management Best Practices are utilized in managing the team's efforts.
  • Establish the Performance Measurement Baseline and ensure Control Accounts align with the Statement of Work.
  • Manage control account performance, identify resource needs, and elevate concerns to IPT Leader and program management.
  • Support Integrated Product Team Lead and Program Manager in developing and executing business and program strategies.
  • Monitor all elements of cost, track EVM performance, and provide monthly updates.
  • Develop and maintain Quantifiable Backup Data (QBD) files and schedule accuracy.
  • Identify cost and schedule impacts to risk and opportunities and implement approved mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate key IPT level horizontal and vertical integration interfaces between program activities, teams, suppliers, partners, and customers.
  • Conduct analysis on actuals for Control Accounts for accuracy and ensure credible Estimates at Complete (EACs).
  • Analyze and report variances and implement corrective action plans for issues.
  • Attend weekly Earned Value Meetings and month-end reviews with Program Management.
  • Maintain audit-ready files for Control Accounts for discussions with Government and internal audit teams.
  • Complete all required training and be certified as a Control Account Manager.
