About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Field Service Representative to support the KC-46 Tanker Aircraft at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers. Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements. Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience of Field Service and/or Military Aircraft Support Equipment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment supporting configuration management and release for flight.
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime including rotating shifts.
  • Must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work.
  • Must have or the ability to obtain a current and valid US passport on hire date.
  • Must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work.

Nice To Haves

  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License desired.
  • Previous experience working with KC-46, KC-135, KC-10 or 767 products is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize multi-disciplined technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the customer.
  • Sustain a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance of company products by investigating technical problems, determining causes, and developing/implementing corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Understand customer expectations and assist the customer in interpreting and using support data and documents and provide technical on-the-job training.
  • Act as the on-site liaison between the company and customer personnel of widely varying backgrounds to gain resolution of significant technical and operational issues.
  • Provides guidance, consultation, and training to customers related to a broad range of technical and operational issues.
  • Conducts on site in-depth research of company and customer data to drive resolution of specific chronic issues.
  • Conducts root-cause analysis on customer and company fleet data to identify/evaluate trends and opportunities to increase dispatch reliability.
  • Validates or reviews effectiveness of existing solutions, and then develops corrective, proactive, and/or preventative action plans.
  • Work unsupervised for extended periods of time in a wide variety of cultural/economic conditions.
  • Interpret technical documents and monitor product performance.
  • Develop and conduct ad hoc training on various maintenance topics.
  • Analyze technical data and evaluate maintenance procedures.
  • Develop action plans for aircraft in unusually difficult AOG situations.
  • Tracks progress of troubleshooting plans and maintains company and customer situational awareness.
  • Conducts follow-up with the customer to ensure solution provided was effective and lasting.
