Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Jacksonville and Component Operations – KC-46 Aviation Maintenance Technicians – General (Associate and Experienced Level) Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Our MRO Jacksonville facility is seeking Aviation Maintenance Technicians - General that are motivated to support a greater cause in directly impacting military warfighter readiness by providing critical maintenance repairs and modifications for our military customers. The professionals chosen to fill these positions will join our MRO organization, working as part of a team in support of our key programs such as military commercial derivatives and fighter aircraft modifications, repairs, and overhaul. The candidates chosen will be responsible for adherence to established processes, accurate and timely work recording and contractual/regulatory compliance. To ensure we continue to support our customers, we are looking for skilled aircraft maintenance professionals to join our team. Successful applicants will be based in Jacksonville, Florida. Position Responsibilities: Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure and systems in accordance with standard repair processes. Perform component installations, ceiling, sidewall panels, flight controls and other hydraulic components. Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair. Use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts. A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required. The mechanic will be required to access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests. Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work. The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, and work in confined spaces. Must be able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays. Mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime. General Responsibilities: Strive for an efficient work effort in all assigned tasks Strive for First Time Quality and Safety on all assigned work Follow the guidance and direction from lead, and senior Subject Matter Experts (SME) Execute all duties while wearing required safety equipment Complete required company and specific statement of work training requirements Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work Have ability to lift and utilize tools, materials, equipment and components in a manufacturing environment, within the Boeing lifting standards (max 35 lb per person, 45 lb for 2 person) Perform detailed tool inventories daily Communicate using basic computer systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office as needed to complete essential job requirements Contribute positively to our open and honest reporting culture Report all incidents and occurrences in the Boeing Safety Management System Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness within assigned work areas, “Clean as You Go” Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Be flexible to ensure aircraft are delivered on time to customer Perform other duties as directed by management for the benefit of the company, program or employee(s) Be an effective team member displaying appropriate behaviors including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Level B (Associate Level; Can perform the above tasks with little or general supervision) Level C (Experienced Level; Can perform the above tasks with no supervision and can assist others)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working as an aircraft mechanic
  • 3+ years of experience or reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and / or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and / or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime)
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Nice To Haves

  • FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant is desirable
  • 3+ years of experience working as an aircraft mechanic on commercial or commercial derivative aircraft (Boeing 767 airframes)
  • 3+ years of experience or reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environmental processes (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH)
