About The Position

The Kava Bar Manager at Kava Culture is responsible for overseeing the operations of a fast-paced, customer-focused bar environment. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in food and hospitality management required.
• Dependable transportation is a must.
• Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and self-directed.
• Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Experience leading a medium-sized team is required.
• Knowledge in Servant Leadership is highly desired.
• Serve Safe certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Kava knowledge is a plus, but willing to train the right individual.
• Experience with new store openings is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Uphold training standards and company policies including all food control and safety regulations.
• Proactively monitor sales analytics and coach store team members with sales training.
• Conduct inventory audits, ordering, and maintaining bar supplies.
• Manage cash operations including cash drawer, petty cash, and bank deposits.
• Create employee schedules based on expected customer numbers.
• Implement, uphold, and quickly embrace new processes.
• Coach and train new employees, focusing on knowledge development with the entire team.
• Establish and diversify grassroots events incorporating music, art, crafts, and entertainment.
• Connect and network with the local community to generate a positive bar ethos.
• Advertise daily, weekly, and monthly promotions via social media.
• Manage a fast-paced, high-volume bar while maintaining a clean and inviting environment.
• Establish and maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere with attention to music and lighting.
• Possess strong decision-making skills and effectively delegate responsibilities.
